After a detailed analysis from worldwide experts it became as clear as day - I lack the skill and experience in creating websites, thus right now I'm completely overhauling database structure. As Weird Al once said - "Your database is a disaster". His words could have been avoided if I knew these kinds of things from the beginning and maybe did some more test projects. Trust me bro, this update will be sick.
I was sitting in my chair, sipping on a strong black tea, having a beautiful chocolate cookie snack and thinking: "how many unnecessary and unintuitive changes I can shove into b5 update?". And it was that moment when I decided: I will not release b5 at all!
From the next update, the versioning will only affect the engine itself. I will take semantic and more publically accepted way to do so. Jay DK Beta v0.1.0 is not only a better way to represent various stages of progress, but also a cool and badass way to make this project look way more cooler than it is currently. May it be correct or not, I will protect all of my spontaneous decisions by saying that it's my project and I do what I wish.
On the other news, the progress has been stalled just a little. Right now I'm doing some cool IRL things and stuffs that are conflicting with my programming schedule a little bit. At the moment, I'm working on statuses. It will show your online/idle/offline status to everybody else both in profile and in a cool colored border around your profile picture.
I've also managed to implement a proper picture cropper and live preview so you can choose the best framing possible without pure guessing.
There were so many more changes but I have a hard time keeping track of them. That's it bye.
And also, happy birthday Amped.
The more I work on this project, the more it resembles some sort of weird social media platform with game elements, and I absolutely love it. People will be able to make posts, rate them and write comments. In the future I will surely add following/subscribing to people and live feed too. There is absolutely no reason to do so and it kinda feels wrong for a website like this, but we'll see how it will stick and how I'm gonna tie everything up together.
I'm also working on online/offline status display and Teams system. Right now I stopped adding new features and prefer to finish the existing (unfinished) ones so I can finally release the b5 version on a server. Verification system is the biggest adversary...
